Managed Accounts Trader

The investment managed account trader position supports the Managed Accounts Investment Team by executing investment transactions, monitoring account activity, helping ensure portfolios remain properly aligned within their approved investment strategies and client objectives, distribution management, special projects and more. This role works with our investment management team to maintain accurate, timely trading activity while supporting portfolio implementation, operational efficiency, and adherence to firm policies and regulatory requirements.  

What You Bring to CFD

  • Work with fellow traders to execute daily trading and oversight operations
  • Review trade lists, execute block trades, and monitor holdings & accounts
  • Operate and utilize trade platforms at Fidelity, NFS, Schwab and more
  • Create and update models and groups inside trading software packages of Advent-Black Diamond, Fee-Based Tools, etc.
  • Implement investment changes per the Managed Accounts Investment Team
  • Generate daily deposit reports and monitor incoming and outgoing cash transactions and securities in all accounts
  • Track and maintain clients taking ongoing withdrawals
  • Receive and process withdrawals and distribution requests
  • Firm resource by supporting advisers with reporting, trades, answering general questions, and providing trade desk assistance
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to trading activity, portfolio changes, and account exceptions
  • Follow firm policies, supervisory procedures, regulatory requirements, and applicable trading controls
  • Assist with testing, improving, and documenting trading processes, systems, and workflows to enhance accuracy and efficiency
  • Perform additional Managed Accounts Team responsibilities and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, business administration or related field preferred

· Previous experience in investment trading, portfolio management, asset management, brokerage operations, or financial services preferred

· Proficiency with securities and investment advisory operations

· General understanding of financial markets, portfolio construction, asset allocation, and investment management concepts

· Securities/Industry experience

· FINRA securities licenses preferred or willingness to attain licenses within first year of employment

· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and additional programs

· High degree of professionalism, integrity, discretion, and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality
